Hello ,
I thought I should post up an update on what ive been doing lately , as I have not been on this site in over a year...
I no longer have an EG style civic anymore , I am from Nova Scotia , Canada and most of the older civics here are in rough shape due to the rough winters and salt , which really disappoints me because they are my favorite style civic . When I was last on the site (over a year ago ) I was in the process of restoring a rusted out 93 Civic Hatchback , I did successfully achieve welding new quarters and rockers on to it and managed to restore it , Then the motor went and I decided it was best to sell.
Recently I was at work and heard about someone hitting a deer and I managed to get in contact and had a look at the car , and I decided it was fixable so I purchased the car for $500, Although the Car is not an EG
I still think it was a good buy. The Car is a 2001 Civic Coupe with 220k Miles and the car has power windows , locks , AC , and cruise
Here is a picture of the car after it hit the deer.
I had that car sitting for almost a week and I managed to find a running parts car on a local craigslist for $300 , so I jumped on that and purchased it for the front end , and anything else I could use.
Here is a picture of the parts car when I picked it up.
It does have some rust from our Winters here and Canada but it was not nearly as bad as the EG I had. I love EG's But here in Canada an EG with no rust is extremely rare.
I managed to get the front end swapped on a few days later , It was quite a bit of work I had to cut the rad support out of the old one and line it up and weld it in , Its extremly hard to get everything to fit right lol,
I would really love to here what you guys think of my build , Also I would really appreciate some tips on how to line things up better or anything else you think would help me make my car better.
If anyone on here is looking for parts for a 2002 Coupe I am currently parting the car out and there are lots of good parts left. I can ship the parts and accept paypal.
Thanks for viewing , I will try and update this in a few days on some inside pics of the rad support I welded in and some interior things I have done.
