#354800 Interesting. What water passage/water pump are you using?

It's my understanding that only the k24a2 and k24a4 alternators are compatible with each other. So knowing what water passage you are using would help knowing what alternator you need.

#354802 It's the 04 tsx water passage. I guess I just have to get the alternator too. Assumed mine would work. But I noticed after googling pics of a usdm 04 tsx alternator I noticed the bolts run straight into the water passage. The jdm alternator bolts run sideways into the passage . Fukn unicorn engine I swear. Has Noone else ever swapped this engine or what. I can't find anyone who has

#354945 So tryin to hook up the tsx shifter cables to the ktuned shifter we noticed the cables were too long and only one of the cables had the proper i-let . The other had a female ball joint. Image
I've also read that to fix this you just purchase rsx type s cables and problem solved. But where is the fun in that? :? So me and my buddy at work decided we were gna try and make the tsx cables work. We designed a model on the computer of a similar i-let and trimmed the cables to length. Once we had some free time on one of the CNCs we had a chance to machine this. This is our i-let after the first op. Image
Pretty clean huh? :hehe: and these are both i -lets test fitted onto the cablesImage :thumb: I love em! Three sets screws will give us some adjustability and should give a good bite into the cables. I'll have to def keep and eye on em to make sure they don't move but I'll def let you guys know how it goes. I'm going to install em today. Then all I have is the wait for the USDM alternator :woot:

Oh yea and I gotta load a base map on the kpro. Hopefully she cranks for the first time tonight 8) :D and btw, the custom cable I-lets seem like they're gna work great

#355097 Which shifter box from K tuned did you use? I'm asking because I didn't think they would work with the K24A2 transmission, Not from the cable not connecting but from how the arms of the tsx shifter move.

K tuned no cut shifter

#355100 So instead of buying the RSX shifter cables i modified the tsx cables.

#355101 Oh I see. Yeah so far it seems to move thru all the gears. Clutch isn't connected yet. But it's the ktuned no cut swap shifter for k20 and k24 swaps. And this is the k24a. Jdm version of the a2 I believe. Honestly I won't know if it's gna work until I test drive but so far it seems like it's golden.

#355102 K tuned says it will work with both k20 and k24 swaps. Only difference is instead of using the RSX cables , I'm sticking with the tsx
