not shooting for anything crazy, looking for just over 200 at the wheels.

just went back over everything and all seems to be leak free still. I'm happy with todays progress of getting the mani, turbo, downpipe, oil pan, and oil lines all hooked up and running. only setback is i gotta get it up on a frame rack or get a good winch cause my front end needs pulled out an inch or two. gotta have that done so my charge pipes fit right plus the fan shroud is already up against the slave cylinder.

not gonna keep the stainless steel IC piping on it forever and i really didn't care about hacking up the feebie aftermarket front bumper i had.
it'll be driveable by the end of the week once the downpipe gets welded up. I'm gonna go drop off the ECU monday to get a chip and basemap put on. it's goin down..

#218993 pumped on this build. 200whp quick spooling ls with a gsr lsd tranny moving a light hatch, this is sick. Can't wait for 1/4 times. :thumb:

BOV & Wastegate look aftermarket, evo's use an internal set to ~14-15 psi.

Welded pipe = no silicone couplers to blow off :thumb:

BTW, Nice setup!

Really? I've seen 300+ to the wheel MR2 Turbo with silicone couplers and they haven't blown off as I remember. I don't think it is the thickness of the silicone couplers but how it is manufacture, piping, and the angle limits the play for it to blow off when boosting.

#219020 thanks guys! :thumb:

yes, i'm using the stock EVO internal wastegate and the reason i need the downpipe "welded up" is because...

well, my manifold is custom and i'm using a mitsu turbo. no one sells a downpipe thats gonna bolt up to the mitsu o2 housing and tie into my existing exhaust.. so that ish has to be made

me too

it would have to be down to the last few weeks of the season too.. :(

fuck it. more time to be ready for spring. and, it's not even running yet and i have the boost bug... maybe gonna shoot for 230-240whp range..

gonna throw a 3 bar map on it and let that stock wastegate do it's thing. they open at 11-12 and are known to creep to 15-16 on a 4G63 EVO, i don't think it will as much with my motor and i'm using a aftermarket o2 housing which flows better than stock but, we'll see. being that it's a small turbo, i'm thinking that psi out of it should put me in my power goal range. if not, forge sells a replacement with whatever spring rate you want.

Yeah, it can hold, but it's one less thing that can go wrong. Use T clamps if using couplers and you'll be fine for most street applications. :thumb:
