Thank you for the compliment Gustavo. This project has been a long journey but I think it will be worth it in the end. :)

Do u do engravings on the side? If so what do u charge? I'm starting 2get ideas. :lol: U can pm me the charge of cost.

TrailerTrash, thank you for the compliments. This project has definitely been a shocker for just about everyone. Either by looking at photos or even standing in front of the car, most people think its sharpie or a vinyl wrap. Then I tell then to run there fingers across the paint and feel the engravings. ;) I will be posting close up pics of the engravings later in the thread. However, I am posting the photos in sequential order so It might be a little while before they are up.

- Sat Mar 09, 2013 6:38 pm #328173 Roughly about 2 weeks after picking up the EG, I decided to call up a friend who owns a Honda / Acura performance shop in Hawaiian Gardens, CA (Import Life Performance) and told him I wanted to go with a B18C1 motor for the "Engraved EG" project. So he started putting together a motor for me and ordered a bunch of brand new Honda / Acura parts.

Thank you Trix. I haven't actually installed the battery relocator yet. I did fully hand engrave it though. :)

- Sun Mar 10, 2013 6:15 pm #328242 Shortly after picking up some of the parts I wanted for the project, I went down to Import Life Performance in Hawaiian Gardens, CA and had my fully rebuilt B18C1 motor and Trans put in. These guys really impressed me with how fast they did the swap. From the time they dropped the old SOHC Vtech motor to completing the entire GSR swap, it took them roughly 3 1/2 hours.

At the shop getting ready to start. Jacob is the red haired guy. Super cool dude. I call him the "Mad Scientist" of Honda / Acura. LOL. :)

Motor swap is complete. Yay!! The next day I headed over to a muffler shop in Valencia and had some new piping installed. Im also going to be changing the exhaust at a later time but this will be good for now. I went with 2 1/4" piping, along with a Magnaflow resinator and Magnaflow muffler. I dont want anything very loud at this point. This is the first time I have had a Magnaflow muffler on any of my cars and it sounds pretty good.

- Sun Mar 10, 2013 11:56 pm #328274 Now, its time for the hand engraving to begin on the "Engraved EG", the "World's First Fully Hand Engraved Car" project. :) Since I did pick up quite a few parts earlier I decided to start engraving some of those parts first.

The first part I hand engraved for the project was the ITR valve cover I had picked up. Total hand engraving time for the valve cover was 150+ hours. Powder coating is not very easy to hand engrave to begin with and plus I was using Diamond tip bits. I went through about 5 diamond tip Dremel bits. What do you guys / gals think?
