#34610 Yeah, the climate control and clock would be around 150 alone from passwordjdm so I think I did pretty good.

Yeah, I'm not going to wire up the airbag, I am going to leave it in, unplugged until I get this.

My old dash was pretty done, it was cracked above the glovebox and made a bunch of noise when driving, and what would be the best way to make my door/plastic panels black, dye or spray paint? And what will match the oem black color better?

#34663 I've never used this stuff on a dash, but it looks like it does the job well:

Here's a video that shows a dash board before & after:

(about 3/4 through the video is where the dash is)

#34684 Ive tried painting interior parts before - i could never get it to look as good as standard though, and it didnt last all that long

$180 is about £90 so i think thats a decent price, considering you got the clock and stuff too

#34692 Thanks for the links, I think I will give that duplicolor stuff a try on all my interior plastics/doorpanels from blue to black to save me some money.

I just ran into a problem while swapping the dash. What did you guys do for the vin number plate? I can't seem to drill the rivits out right, I drilled through the top and then once it gets to the backside it starts drilling through at an angle so it goes through the dash and missed the bottom/back of the rivit...

I've seen the grey used on a GM truck dash that used to be tan and it was not scratching off, and it looked like it could have came from the factory that way.

How the paint sticks has alot to do with how well the dash is prepared (cleaned, degreased, and maybe a primer or adhesion promoter used)

Maybe the GM dashboard was better at absorbing the paint though too....

#35176 Just got the dash in my car now to get the rest of the interior to match! Heres how it looks.

Should I go with the Duplicolor Vinyl and Fabric paint? I bought a can of it, but I have also been considering using SEM, look at this, it looks like it turned out very well.

Also the vinyl paint will work on all the plastics in the hatch and around the back seats right? Considering they arn't really vinyl...

what you going to do about your blue wheel?

#35226 I think I am going to go with either a black Integra GSR steering wheel, or an aftermarket wheel.

#36287 Ok, I just got started on converting the rest of my interior to black, I decided to go with the SEM Landau Black vinyl dye/paint for my interior. I just sprayed my door panels and rear plastic panels, so far it looks really good now I just have to wait for them to cure and to spray all the rest of the misc. plastic things. Also I just picked up some USDM ITR front seats and black knock off CTR floor mats from my friend to match my black Interior =]. I got them for $160 my old 99 prelude seats and integra floor mats . Heres some pics.
