#38039 i seen a topic on this but it didnt really answer my questions

so far ive got the following

short shifter
shift knob
shifter bushings

i know i need the tranny, which do u recommend i get to put best output on a d15b JDM engine for a good price?

also im assuming ill need shift linkage, and what about pedals? can i just add a clutch pedal and keep the same gas/break assembly i got? is that possible?

when i get the tranny what do i need to get to add onto the tranny which it doesnt come with already?

do i need to get a new ecu?

#38040 you'll need shift linkage, AUTO TO MANUAL MOUNT (all caps mean its very important lol) etc... you basicly know what you need just ned to cut out that spot for the shifter as for the ECU you dont really need a new Teal_dx knows how to change it from auto to manual etc.. pedals supposedly you can add it on but i dunno

#38041 you can get the auto to manual mount, or you can cut out the auto mount and weld in the manual mount... cheaper but harder

#38042 can i use a b16 shift linkage? or does it have to be d series, cause i cant find a d series one

#38043 can you guys drop me a link or a picture of what the auto to manual mount looks like?

#38046 here is my conversion mount:

it moves the mounting point about 2 inches back. hasport makes a nicer looking one.

it has to be a d series linkage as far as I know, but I've never compared the two.

more stuff you'll need:
92-95 master cylinder, nuts
92-00 D series slave cylinder, bolts
92-95 manual pedals, connecting pin
92-95 clutch lines, or the Earl's conversion ss braided clutch line
92-00 shift linkage, bitch pin, bolts, bushings, hardware
92-00 shifter, knob, dust boot, hardware
92-00 rear transmission manual mount (eg auto/manual rear brackets are the same)
92-00 D series Flywheel & Pilot Bearing
92-00 D series Clutch & Pressure Plate
92-00 D series Release Bearing
92-00 D series Manual Flywheel bolts (auto ones are too short)
92-00 D series lower front tranny bracket & bolts
92-00 D series manual starter & lower long starter bolt
2 qts of honda MTF

and you can't just add the clutch pedal because the brake pedal will be in the way when you try to drive. you'll need the manual pedals so the brake pedal will be in the right location. :thumb:

Have you already bought your new manual transmission? If so which one?

Good luck on this, Thankfully there should be howtos and DIY articles out there.

do i have to get new axles or can i use the ones i got?

As far as I know, between all D-block transmissions they use the same axles.
