I got a 94 eg coupe was automatic I jus swapped a gsr tranny into it everything is fine and dandy till I noticed I was leaving oil everywhere I went I looked and it's coming from my driver side axle...I tried replacing the seal did the same thing I've been looking and looking but havnt found anything to resolve my issue...tomorrow I'm gunna rip it all part for the third time to see if the seal jus wont fit the shaft. But if anyone had run into this issue please let me know bcuz I need to know what route to go! Thx
swapped my motor (it was junk)
swapped another motor (trans wasn't the correct gear ratio/CX)
swapped in a new trans (EX)
axles were junk (bought new OE replacement)
drove everything was fine
trans fluid/oil was leaking EVERYTHING after about 1 hour of driving
slow drip occurred
i bought a new Honda seal, replaced it.
leak still happened
was driving out to my parents and my axle spun out.
i took my axle out (pass. side where leak was) when i got there
checked my seal again and ring (everything was good)
when RE-INSTALLING, i really slammed the axle in.
stopped the leak immediately.
with that being said, make sure you have your axle all the way in. otherwise there is just enough room for fluid to drip out! i learned the hard way.
