Hi guys, sorry about my poor lenguage and limited english.
Well, last friday we’d been working on my build/car just to find and adjust/set all parts looking for some real gains.
After all, I must to say these are not final numbers yet.
Why I say that? Simple: there’s a lot of parts that we got to work with.
We need to develop and improve several components, maybe vital issues on this engine to extract all the power.
As currently we know:
1.- we need a real race cylinder head, with an extensive and serious job of flow benching, not just port and polish like now it is. I mean a kind of work like Portflow or Endyn does. Plus bigger, lighter valves and new guides. I read ‘Bisi said something like that’s possible to make a D series head that flows like a B series head.
2.- we’re using too heavy rods (regular Eagles); maybe two times more than stock rod weight.
3.- our flywheel is heavy too (stock), adding more dead weight to all set.
4.- the engine is running with Mobil 1 5/50 synthetic oil instead 0/40, which allows less power loss.
5.- local pump gas quality available is really poor down here in Buenos Aires than in USA or Europe. Ignition timing must to be very conservative and this is a great limitation on power’s quest.
6.- those ITB’s are 42mm. Will be good to try with 45 or even 50mm. I think there will be just gains, of course in hi cam and above 7K rpm. We have to try and improve those velocity stacks, switching different lengths to find the best that suits this engine.
Even knowing all this issues to improve, we’d currently obtained 75HP more from the original stock power declared from factory (125HP).
This means a raise of 60% over the stock power.
A 1590cc SOHC VTEC N/A engine that generates +125HP per liter.
The achieved number was 174.2whp and 170.2 N-m of torque @ 7.8K rpm on a DynoJet .
That number currently means + - 200 crank horse power.
Here`s the graph:
With all the issues that currently we have to improve, projections for more power to the future looks so good and will be a very exciting goal to rich it out, I think.

Thank you all for the support.
Greetings from Buenos Aires.
