Drain plug

- Sat Mar 07, 2009 11:33 pm #101280 I went to change my oil drain plug is spinning freely and wont come out. I thought about an extractor bit but idk if that would work since it would just spin.

- Sat Mar 07, 2009 11:54 pm #101288 sounds like its really stripped out.. i would put wise grips on it and drill it out. then i would use a self tapper drain plug

- Sun Mar 08, 2009 12:06 am #101293 id just get a new oil pan from the yard and call it a day but yea really i think those are the only two options have you tried pulling while twisting maybe it might catch and get itself out there

- Sun Mar 08, 2009 1:32 am #101320 When I drained the oil for the first time on this car I discovered the threads had been repaired with a helicoil. Some quicklube shithead must've zapped the plug in with an impact or somehing. :roll:
