all is same as before and its definetely not the filter either. when i was checking the dizzy out, i can hear a faint high pitched whine from the rear of the bay, sort of from the driver side (were RHD over here). Ive never heard that before, anyone know what that could be?

- Tue Jul 20, 2010 8:22 pm #205508 ive now noticed theres an earth on the transmission thats hanging on by threads. could this be the problem? I didnt know there were 2 earths?

what function does this earth perform? I mean is it the same as the rocker cover earth?

All 3 are important, fix that and see. Even if it's not the cause of the problem, it's still fixing another problem in advance

- Tue Jul 20, 2010 8:55 pm #205512 the starter grounds (earths?) out on the motor if your motor doesnt have a sufficient electrical path back to the negative battery terminal wether it be through the chassis or through heavy gauge wire your starter wont kick. troubleshoot with jumpercables (create sufficient ground) and if it fixes your problem make a more permanent solution... amp wire + loom ftw!!!

what he means is it turning over the engine!! is your belts and alt and stuff spinning when you engage the starter??

that or if it turns over fast and your alt belt is spinning everything it could be your timing belt is broke or has teeth missing.

- Sun Jul 25, 2010 8:12 pm #206217 Ive now checked the ECL for codes and I havent seen one reading off for codes before.. can anyone make sense of this for me? I had to draw the line at 10 mins, I couldnt tell the difference in flashes, they all look the same to me??
