The fuel pump in my d15b7 is on its last leg (I think). It could be the relay too, I havent ruled it out yet. but I'm having a tough time maintaing fuel a consitant fuel pressure at idle and when I'm on the freeway sometimes my air fuel guage starts to wag like a windshield wiper on high speed for no aparent reason.
My question is, Since I currently have a complete turbo kit minus engine management and a fuel pump. Could I install a larger aftermarket fuel pump, use the adjustable pressure regulator that is currently installed and set to the factory recomendations with my currently NA otherwise stock fuel system, and just let the extra fuel get pumped back into the tank. Or will my factory ECU pitch a fit and throw codes and run rich? If I have to replace it any way and the quote I got for the OEM one was for around $200.00. I only plan on running up to 6 psi max so I don't think it has to be huge.
