i need help getting this stuff off my sunroof rails so i can buy a new sunroof and install it the right way instead of using this stuff. its very sticky and comes off easily but its also taking off the rubber seals on the rails and i dont have the money to buy new rails.
Depending on what it is, there's a few options to get stuff like that off.
1. On the hottest day, it may get gooey to the point you can wipe it off.
2. A solvent such as mineral spirits will usually soften it up.
3. Wait till the weather is below freezing or get dry ice and see if it comes off in chunks.
I think the first two options will be safer to separate it from the rubber seal, but will take more time.
