Shear fact that they aren't painted so the sun hits the metal and blinds me..plus the car looks so much cleaner without them on. Plus it saves the wiper blades. Stupid or not I don't care. I carry them with me in the trunk and a 14mm wrench just incase so I can put them on

I don't have wipers on my hatch either, or a wiper motor lol.

Its a $150 dollar fine for endangerment if caught int he rain without. I agree it does look much cleaner without them but I would check with your local ordinances to make sure you wont get boned for being vein about your car.

I've never had a problem with mine..usually in California it didn't rain hard enough to need them and the only place I would go in my car was down the street to work so I never needed them. I'd put them on if I was going somewhere across town and rain-x ftw too lol. I'm pretty sure you can get cited anywhere if you don't have them on but most likely a cop isn't going to notice windshield wipers when he pulls you over for something else lol.

The first hatch I owned never had them. I was in college and didn't travel much and I did a layer of rub on Rain-X every morning. Year for waxing your windshield.

But here in cali is sunny almost all year round.

Yeah bro they are super strict here. And they have started already crushing cars but its a way of life style for a lot of ppl here so they're never going to stop it. They might slow down a bit but not completely get rid of it.
