- Fri Jun 17, 2011 11:47 am #259780 I bet part of the metal has completely rotted away. What you can't see is the worst part. The correct way would be to cut out all the rust and weld in new metal. It's not an easy job.

Rust is like cancer, if you don't remove it completely, it will return
