#179757 ok sooo, im looking to quieten down my exhaust and i know a resonator will do the trick, but i keep seeing test pipes mixed in with them.. does a test pipe do the same thing as a resonator? also, will a high-flow resonator quieten my exhaust as much a a regular resonator?

which one do you all think will be a better resonator based on performance vs. quietness:

#179773 a test pipe is a hollow pipe that replaces the cat. It will make your car get much louder.

Get the longest resonator you can, 18" long will be a little more effective than 14" long. The 18" one is 2.5" though and the 14" one is 2.25".
What's your exhaust setup?

#180039 right now my exhaust setup is 2.25 piping all the way back to a sport compact flowmaster. no cat. no resonator..i HATE the sound. it sounds alright if your racing it, but for a d-d it doesnt sound soo good.
