#96583 Hi, I am from Europe and my EG is made in Japan, but without all the cool stuff the JDM versions have, but you already know that. So, I have seen that USDM civics have a rear wiper that has an interval function, or intermittent. However, I was wondering if all your civics have that or only the Si versions or what? Is that easy to find? I know, that you need the switch on the wheel and a relay somewhere around the fuse box. It is reaaaaly frustrating, because here in BG it rains all the time... I know, most of you get rid of the rear wiper at all but... I would like to keep it and even upgrade it. :)

Thank you in advance, looking forward to your posts. :)

#96588 there is a thread on here somewhere about what all it takes to install it on on a civic that didnt have it. but all i know is that it is a HUGE pain in the ass and everyone was saying that it's not worth the time

#96610 You'll need the motor, wiring, and steering column switch if you want to make it functional. There'a also a washer fluid squirter on these cars in the hatch wing that has a tube going all the way up to the washer fluid tank, and the tanks from these cars have a second pump on them for the rear wiper.

Si and Dx models came with rear wipers here

#96670 No no, you misunderstood me. I have a rear wiper stock on my car, but it has only one setting - it wipes unstoppably! So, the motor, and all the fluid lines are in place from the factory. The only problem is, that I can't just turn it on to wipe every 10 seconds or whatever the timing is. I'm sorry if you don't understand me very good, but I am not from an English-speaking country and the language isn't my native :) To sum up - on the stick that comes out of the steering column I have only one setting - full on, it wipes and can do it forever over and over again! USDM civics, I don't know if any or a specific model, have a second setting - you turn it on and it wipes every 10 or so seconds. It is much more comfortable! :)

Thank you

#96704 Oh I see now... I can't recall if My car ever had a second setting. I remember only turning on the wiper for 5-10 seconds at a time because it was constantly wiping.

Ok, this is what I found. I can't figure out if this is an American or British post. I can see, that the car is LHD but... you say that you've never seen this. You can see the steering column, or what ever it is called, has two settings "INT and LO"... anyone, do anyone have this? Is true?

#97045 You think? Hm, because I was looking at the pictures, and look at the last one - the ring that is for the rear wiper, you can see the settings there - OFF, INT., LO....

or maybe this car doesn't even have a rear wiper!?

I don't know, I am confused...

But also, look at what he is saying:

-Intermittent wiper stalk from a DX/EX coupe (since the CX/VX doesn't have the rear wiper)

Here's my attempt at a How-To for those owners of the Honda Civic CX/VX that want intermittent wipers.

Further proof, he says "wipers" not "rear wiper".

Also, that wiper stalk on the steering column is used to control the front wipers, if you used it to control your one rear wiper how would you activate your front wipers?

#97296 I don't know... I am fu*king confused now... I always wanted to see the full list of options for the EG, damn... :(

Anyone ever seen a civic with rear intermittent wiper? :?

#215239 Sorry I didn't see this post earlier. I wish I had, because I wrote my DIY for a REAR intermittent wiper last February. Better late than never, I guess. Here it is:

EDIT: Evidently, I don't know what year it is.
