Main relay problem.

- Thu Aug 28, 2008 8:22 am #67557 Hy everybody! I have problem with main relay. Car don't want start fuel pump with ignition. I know that you can repair relay and that lot of people did it. Question is how i can do that? Sticky topic about relay problems have wrong links. :( Car is EG5 D16Z6.... Please help.

- Thu Aug 28, 2008 1:09 pm #67563 when you repair the main relay, you have to re-solder the connections. This involved heating & removing the old solder and re-soldering. If the problem only happens when it is hot outside, then that's a good sign it is your main relay. Or a new one from the dealership is $60. Best thing to do is borrow one from a friends car and see if it works in your car. There's also a ground wire under the driver seat bu the bottom of the door that is for the fuel pump. be sure that ground is good too :thumb:
