I was thinking where the arrow is pointing, there is a flat spot and it would be protected from getting broken off. I'm just not sure if there is supposed to be a special spot for it.

If yours already has one on the TB, why not put the new one there? The only downfall I see is you couldn't go back to stock if you're going to have to modify the hole very much.

Yes i believe they are on the throttle body, thats why i want to see if it would be a performance issue for the sensor not being on the TB.

but you would need to blank of the place on the tb.....
