#83450 I decided to pull out the code since my civic throws a mil light once in a while... I have a messed up idle to I thought it was going to be related to that but it wasnt :? ... I have a code 1 for a d16z6.... the code is for the O2 sensor...

The o2 sensor is brand new... I have no clue what the problem is. When I did the motor swap.. I went from a d15z1(vx motor)... i swapped in the d16z6 motor.. so it went from a 5 wire o2 sensor to a 4 wire o2 sensor.... the reason why i thought this wouldnt be a problem is because When i bought the d16z6.... it came with its own motor harness... so all i did was swap in the new ecu.. (p28) and I bought an oem o2 sensor for a d16z6 that plugs directly into the motor's harness....

Did I do something wrong? I am running a test pipe and I just received my magnaflow catalytic converter.... I do not want to put the cat in if im throwing a o2 sensor code.... any ideas?

#83465 I just figured how to make it throw the code... i resetted the ecu (unplugged the batter and sat there for 10 mins) .... I went driving for a couple days.... the way to set the mil light off is by when I decelerate in gear..... the light comes on after about 3 seconds of decelerating... thats the only way it gets set offf and stores the code... other than that.. if i dont decelerate in gear... the code is not stored or thrown.... wtf! ...

p.s .... if the o2 sensor is acting gay... could that be the problem of my surging and high idle ? (i checked the fitv and iacv)
