#67000 What parts of my engine should I trial and error to figure why the heck my engine won't turn over?

Just did a wire tuck so I KNOW it's wiring related...but I'm 90% positive the like..two plugs and four wires I had to route are perfectly fine.

Is there like an unwritten checklist of things I should look over to find out why when I turn my key, it makes a humming noise like it's TRYING to do SOMETHING...

btw...my battery isn't dead...I've already contemplated that. but my stereo works just fine and when I start my engine, it DOES pump fuel through my fuel rail. Just doesn't start.

would say the same thing. Check your grounds also.

Which grounds do I check? >_>

I had thought that I had got all of em.

#67100 OK yeah one of my engine grounds was a bit off. I got it fixed and turn the key enough for the car to turn over. And it did. :woot:

I'm waiting until daylight before I turn it all the way on though. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have to do a lot of work on it before I can drive it down the road without some sort of engine fluid leaking everywhere. Especially those around the intake manifold.

#67137 OK This is seriously starting to piss me off...

I got up this morning, all excited to finish my work on my car, I put the key in the ignition to try and start it and nothing happened.

WTF!?

It worked just fine last night after I fixed my grounds. I was like, "yay my car turns over" so I left it at that and went to bed. Then, despite the fact that I didn't tamper with it AT ALL, there was NO rain or ANYTHING, it won't turn over again. :x

I re-checked my grounds, re-checked all my fuses and even tried jump-starting the car. Nothing. Everything is in order and it won't start for no reason...

My stereo works fine. But my headlights don't do ANYTHING despite the fact that they are ALSO hooked up completely. My right hand turn signal light in my guage bezel is stuck "on" and the signal lever itself does absolutely nothing. AND my tail lights won't turn off. I had to dis connect them before they drained my battery. UGH!

#67152 start double checking all the wires and check every one of them to make sure there is not one stripped and grounding out on something. Especially check those on the firewall where there is a nice spot for them to strip and ground out.
