- Fri Dec 05, 2008 6:24 am #82142 Just wonderin if anyone knows what the rev limiter is set at on a virgin p28?? I always figured it was around 7500 rpms since it redlines @ 7100. But I rev'd it up to 8k today while in 3rd then shifted to 4th. Didnt mean to but I was lookin up at the road then looked down at my tach and it was @ 8k I quickly shifted to 4th.

at idle they are pretty accurate but the higher the rpm, the more they are off.
accurate tachometers are pretty expensive.
fuel cut on p28 is at 7200rpm

any idea or guesstimate on how much they may be off by?

At least now I know. I push it to 6800 daily. I should prolly stop doing that...
