- Thu Sep 25, 2008 4:45 pm #71475 ok my driver side windshield wiper crapped out on me. i can completely lift up my wiper and move it freely as you shouldn't be able too. So is it the motor that is broken or is there a piece that connects to the wiper to make it move that snapped. what do i do to fix? thanks

- Thu Sep 25, 2008 5:47 pm #71483 just replace the motor assembly. but it could be also that the teeth on the wiper arm and motor are stripped.

- Thu Sep 25, 2008 8:03 pm #71498 take off the wiper arm...look where it came off of and see if there are still splines on it...if the splines are worn off then thats your problem...
