EG B18C Dies after Smog Check

I just passed the dreaded smog check. The next day the EG started fine. After 2 minutes of idle, it then dies and gets into crank no start phase. No CEL code that's flashing. Has anyone experienced this issue? I wonder what the smog test might have caused. The weird thing the car ran healthy and strong with no issues before and after the smog test.

Once it dies, I would check for spark and trouble shoot from there. Maybe just a coincidence that it happened after the smog check. Where are you located? Do they just drive it on the rollers with the tailpipe sniffer, or were they fiddling around under the hood?
