You're kidding right?
A dumpvalve is suction valve fitted to the boost pipe on a turbo or SC setup. The boost pressure pushes up against the valve keeping it closed under open throttle conditions. The top of the valve is connected via vacuum hose to your intake manifold. When you take your foot off the gas the pressure in your intake drops below atmospheric and the pressure in the boost pipe is stil at the set boost on your wastegate. This causes a suction at the top of the dumpvalve releasing the pressure in the boost pipe.
This is to save the turbo from cavatation and no you cant fit it to your car unless you have a turbo or SC
And yes it also goes by the name Blow Off Valve(BOV)
