- Fri Feb 01, 2008 1:45 am #40320 i was wondering what were the differences between the CX DX VX and SI? if anyone had a chart or something? showing what they offer and there motor specks to? thanks alot

from what ive read/heard VX is 92 hp with vtec-e which sounds good to me. cuz i heard the si had a good engine(125hp vtec) but its so heavy with all the equipment thats its pretty much equal to the VX and DX. and well i would want vtec. for the fact that engine swap will only be after a year or so. ill be doing the body first and then a swap. but i dont want a cx cuz its lowest hp and cheapest from what i herd.

im kinda all confused lol.im wondering between vx and si rly. dx doesnt ahve vtec right? so screw that.

or am i jsut all getting this wrong? lol. you have to excus me for that im pretty much a mechanics noob...but i want to learn! i love to learn

- Fri Feb 01, 2008 2:20 am #40326 The Si will not be about equal to any of them! It is far superior in stock form. It has 4 wheel disc brakes, 125hp sohc vtec ( real vtec ) motor, best stock D series tranny. POWER MOONROOF!!! and power mirrors.

After that, the Dx is the next best hatch.

The Vx does have vtec wired in already, but that easy to do. The motor in it is a Vtec-e. E for economy....hince the Real vtec comment early...this is a crappier version of vtec. Not performance based.

if you want light, then the VX and CX are your choice, but you will be starting slow.

The Dx and Si are the faster ones, the Si being the fastest stock. But heavier.

I would say get the DX or Si over any.

but with the vtec hows the gas consumption? i mean i know thos hatches are far from super consumers, but still with the gas price going up...

if you can tell me in liters it would be great but gallons will do

The little things are definitely appreciated more lol, and they aren't so little when you go from a car without them to a car with them, especially AC in the summer!

total BS. that motor doesnt make 10hp more anything.

Its rated the exact same. The Sis also already get all wheel discs, power moonroof and mirrors. body colored door handles and mirrors....

As far as milage, I was getting 300-350 from a tank.
