#214498 Sleeves with an 84mm bore will get you almost to 2.0l with the stock crank, but you ought to use the LS crank with the slightly longer stroke to get to right around 1976cc or just a cunt hair less than 2.0l.

#214501 Wouldn't a B20 block make them 2L?

#214504 Yes, but he was asking what it would take to make a GSR block displace 2.0l.

#214537 ok so i would need to sleeve with a 84 mil boar could i use stock gsr rods with high comprtion cp pistons and i have an ls crank so what else is needed

#214544 With the LS/B20 crank comes the matching rods. the GSR will be to long.

#214681 so i have a quick questin what would be more reliable a b20 vtec or a 2.0 poor mans type r whats the diffrence between the two and what would b the best for power/relable

#214686 Poorman's Type R would be more reliable IMO. GSR block with B16 head. No need to tap anything or plug anything. It's literally a head swap. You just have to use the B16 head bolts or head studs, which ever you choose, and the B16 distributor (slightly different mounting tabs from the GSR distributor).

You actually use GSR/ITR studs. I know, I was building one. I have some ARP studs for mine still.

#214871 ITR/B16 are the same head, GSR head is slightly different. IIRC, the GSR head sits taller than the B16/ITR head. Could be the other way around, though.

#214883 B16a and B18c block is different as well.

GSR/ITR headstuds are the ones to use. Do a bit more searching.

#214998 Yeah the B16 and B18C1 blocks are different, but how does that change which studs to use?

#215001 Use the studs for the block.

Have you never looked up how to build a poormans type r?

#215013 It's been a good while. I figured the threads in the two blocks would be the same as far as depth goes. It doesn't make sense to me that you'd use the studs for the block when one head is taller than the other. I don't know if the pressure surface where the washer sits on the head is at a different height between either head.
