- Wed Sep 22, 2010 3:29 pm #214944 Okay so I have a 93 del sol with a B18A1 engine and the ECU in it is a P06 which is not right for this engine at all but the first month I owned the car it ran fine but after 2 months if I step on the gas too hard it will sputter but if I drive slow everything is fine, got new plug wires and new fuel filter, there seems to be a big ding in my header also and the car is straight piped, I just ordered a P75 ECU and a new header will this solve the problem?

- Wed Sep 22, 2010 5:43 pm #214964 Please dont keep posting the same question multiple times wait till you get teh p75 in and see if it will fix the problem then see what happens then and reply to one of your previous questions with the problem you are haveing with your b sereis dont mean to sound like a jerk to this but i try and help people as much as possible but when someone asks one question i answer it and then they post a similar question saying they havent done anything else except buy the parts there really is nothing i can do to help in that situiation since ive already answered that question

-if it still sputters check fro check engine lights etc and report back info....

- Tue Sep 28, 2010 1:48 pm #215723 I got the new ECU and seems to be sputtering even more now, I can literally start going and the car will slow down to a stop with my foot all the way down on the gas and it will make popping sounds, I have to give it less and more gas fast in order to start going, I heard this can be an alt problem with the amount of voltage the car gets, my batter has white powder all over the negative terminal, the car has no flex pipe and where the header meets the exhaust it looks a little crooked, any ideas?

Also your timing, maybe you jumped a tooth or something.

- Tue Sep 28, 2010 10:59 pm #215791 Found out my terminals on my battery had white powder all over the terminals and my new ecu had to adjust to my engine running great now!

- Wed Sep 29, 2010 3:42 am #215815 my friend had a similar problem it might be ur timeing this is wat happened to him so check ur timeing like chilango 41 said , you spark plugs or maybe how u have ur plugs set up wrong try and see what happens

- Mon Oct 04, 2010 6:29 pm #216783 Just something to know is that when I put a new ECU in my car it ran horrible and had to go on a 100 mile drive for a small trip and now the car runs amazing, the computer just has to take time to adjust and when installing a new ecu just when you reset the ecu hardly does anything unless that ecu has been in the car for some time.
