OEM replacement. Exedy is a good bang for the buck. Don't get that Autozone crap.

i would stick with OEM cause a stage 1 will slow you down if your not pushing a decent amount of power. i heard that the zoom clutches are pritty good... i have a edelbrock mani, header, full exhaust and an EX tranny with and OEM clutch and it works great and its real good from a hole shot too

i still dont get it. if a stage 1 clutch slows you down. then an oem clutch would make you faster yes? please explain how a clutch that can hold less power makes you faster. (if both have the same moment of inertia)
correct me if im wrong but..
im pretty sure that the main differences between clutches is how hard they bite/engage, how much power they can hold before they slip, and how long they will last.
a 4 puck stage 5 clutch can hold X amount of power but isn't intended for street use because it engages so hard and chatters.
where i am running a clutchmasters fx300, 110% increase in holding capacity and it has in no way made my car slower and is completely streetable. clutches dont make power they transfer it to the trans...

Exactly.
I had a crapy XTD stage4 6-puck unsprung on a mini-me set up for months before i turbo'd it. The clutch isn't going to slow you down.
Upgrade since you'll already be there. You'll kick your self 1 for having to take the trans back out, and 2 for having to buy a SECOND clutch, when you could have just bought one in the first place.

Yes go with stage one !!! Me and you are doing the same build and I'm still on my oem clutch it's starting to squeak so I'm going to replace it soon with a stage one act clutch and fidanza flywheel
