Its been a harsh winter which has too its toll on the eg
So iv decided to get it looking mint again myself with the help of my dad
Father and son project.
From the earlier pics you can see the car was looking pretty clean before winter.
A few pics of the problems now:
Rusty UK boot, common with uk boots.
Cracked front lip from catching on ice.
A small amount of surface rust where the body shop didnt paint it properly and touched it up by dabbing a brush which has started to wear away:
A scuff where someone hit me on tescos and didnt own up to it
Restoration begins:
Purchased a jdm boot from an sir. No rust at all and the badge had been welded properly no filler.:
Painted in the shed looking new:
Side skirts freshly painted:
Its a slow progress as its my daily driver but one day it well be super clean ready for the conversion.
Thanks for looking

Front bumper half finished needs the grills going back black.Bonnets going back white and de-badged.
JDM boot finished and rear bumper repaired no more scuff. I gave up waiting for the police to chase up the woman who hit it. Number plates are wrong size but oh well they will do. Panels need adjusting slightly to minimise the panel gaps.
The rest will be done in the body shop as we have nowhere to do it. Guess i have saved a bit of cash doing quite a bit in the shed haha.
I think coilovers are next on the list and front brake upgrade.

Update car is now in aceautobodies in wigan:
Car prepped ready for paint:

Been doing some DIY:
Stripped the sun roof down to get out the bars that secure the seals in as these were really rusty. Sanded them down with the dremmel and painted them.
Also cut the bumper slits out to allow more air to the filter:
