#336372 here is a pinout for the ecu
http://www.ff-squad.com/technet/wiring.obd1.htm

is the ecu chipped or modded in anyway??

for the injectors it would be best to take them to a shop and let them test it or replace them with a set of ones you know is ok or try yours in another car if thats possible.
my bet is still low pressure but im not always right :o

here is some info for them also.
http://www.hondata.com/techduty.html

also remember to clear the codes by removing the - pole or the backup fuse for few sek.

you can also try cleaning the v-tec solinoid, there is a filter inside that can be dirty, and if you do the butterfly trick i posted before and that gets you no cel then there something wrong with the oil sending unit or wiering on the solinoid.

My ecu is stock no chip. I will try to clean the filter and I also found some gsr injectors in town (craigslist) for a decent price. Ill swap them and tune back in.

JUICE wrote:Obd1 and 2 injectors are the same. Does Vtec crossover normal around 5600 or whatever before it cuts out at 6500? If it does, it's most likely a bad injector. The car is under the most load in those gears where the injectors will be at their highest duty.

OBD1 and OBD2 injectors are not the same. They're both the saturated type, but the plugs are different and they may either be 190CC or 240CC. D series VTEC and all B series are 240CC. VTEC-E and non VTEC D series are 190CC.

#336489 ^sorry, that was more a statement in relation to his issue where it wouldn't matter running obd2 injectors with obd1 harness/ecu however they're plugged in as they're both saturated 240's

#336501 What Im wondering is there a difference in impedance? Are obd1 low impedance and obd2 high impedance or vise versa? Reason I ask is because I'm running an obd1ecu setup with obd2 injectors. Not sure if it matters.

#336599 well I put in some used injectors I picked up from craigslist and it seem to fix that cel code. Still getting code 22. Any idea how to clean the vps filter? I couldn't find a write up for it.

I found this vid but I don't see where the filter/screen would be. Im assuming in the solenoid housing, but does it dismount from the mounting bracket?

Had a feeling that's what you meant but I wanted to clarify for the sake of correctness.

#336781 Good info. Very helpful. Thanks again. Still havent got around to cleaning the vtec screen/filter due to the state of nm being on a severe flood watch for the last week or so.

#337380 any update?

might also be a good idea to check the ground on the VPS. Do know know why it would be working but not in 4th or 5th... or why a stock ECU would kick in VTEC at 4500RPM...

Sorry I have been super busy and in and out of town a lot. I havent got around to messing with it. Last time I drove the car the vtec was not working in all gears at times. I have a feeling I might just need to replace the whole solenoid if it keeps happening.

Not sure why the vtec engages at 4500 rpm. I have heard mixed opinions on what rpm it should be engaging at tho. Not sure who to believe.

On another note. I also got a cel the other day (43) fuel supply. This car is a constant project it seems. I guess that's the price of finishing a project someone else started.
