#204207 ok what will be the result of a faulty thermostat?
overheating?, blown head gasket?
my gasket blew out on me and i got it cahnged like 1 1/2 weeks ago, shaved head alittle replaced all seals, and the engine still overheated, and now i think the gasket is blown again:(
im thinking i have a faulty thermostat? am i rite?
or what do u guys think is goin on with engine?

#204251 It could be the thermostat it could also be the fan not kicking on or it could be the radiator is clogged. I would check the thermostat first. If anything you could just pull it out and replace it because they are cheap

#204393 well the fan is run direct so when the ignition is on the fan comes on no switch, and the radiator was replaced less than a month ago and works fine, the thermostat i dont know ill look into that :thumb:

#204396 If it is stuck closed your car will warm up and the thermostat won't open and the car will over heat. If it is stuck open it will take a really long time to warm up, but the chance of your car ever over heating is very slim.
