do you think 12.5:1cp is too much for a daily driver?

#220865 Only fuel line you might need to upgrade is the line from the filter to the fuel rail. And the stock fuel filter and rail are fully capable with keeping enough fuel going to the injectors in a NA setup as mild as 12.5:1.

And a tune is a given for all builds.

Listin to this guy! Thats a bad ass motor as well!

12.5:1 is not to high to DD. I know a few people dd on 13:1. CTR pistons in a stock gsr motor nets you 13:1. Tune that and its all gravy. stock cams and all.

#220937 This is a tough call. If I were to decide not to do the 12:5 cp I least I'd be willing to settle for would be 11:5cp. But with that would I be able to break the 200whp mark? I honestly don't think so. :( . A friend of mine was telling me about a vid he saw produced by JUN and they made 203whp on a b16b by just porting and re-tuning it, everything else remained stock.

11.5:1 = a lil more then the b18c5.. .5+ JDM b18c5. hmmm 200whp is possible.

#221059 Dude 12.5:1 would be a great setup. You will not regret it if you went with that compression setup. You might be a little upset with a 11.5:1 comp set up when you realize its not much of a difference in stock power.

#221115 you can make plenty of power with 11.5:1 cr. thats all i was going use on my retooled gsr.

#221210 Something just ran across my mind. After I'm finished building this motor will I be able to run it without further modification? I was reading somewhere about the pistons hitting the valves because of the LS cranks additional stroke. Take into consideration that ill be using bisimoto all motor plus nitrous cams along with my upgraded valvetrain.

GreasedMonkey how much power were u looking to make with ur setup?

#221214 i wa building a poormans itr. i was shotting for 200 whp. i had a gsr block with jdm itr pistons, b16a head, toda spec b cams and a ported skunk2 manifold with a 68mm throttlebody. i was getting it as close to 11.5:1 as i ciuld safely.
