ALLRIGHT SO I AM BUILDING MY HATCH FROM THE GROUND UP AND WILL BE BUILDING A ALL MOTOR SETUP THAT WILL BE REVING TO 10,000RPM. SO I WAS GONNA DO A B20 VTEC, AND BOUGHT SRP HIGH COMP 11:5.1 84MM PISTONS, EAGLE RODS, ARP ROD BOLTS, ARP HEADSTUDS. BUT I AM HAVING TROUBLE FINDING A B20. SO I ALLREADY HAVE A LSVTEC IN MY CAR NOW AND I WAS WONDERING IF I COULD JUST BUILD THE LS BLOCK AND PUT THE 84MM PISTONS IN THERE. IF I CAN DO THIS WILL I GET DECENT NUMBERS ON A DYNO? IF ANYBODY HAS DONE THIS COULD YOU PLEASE GIVE SOME INFO ON WHAT I WOULD BE LOOKING AT NUMBER WISE AND WOULD I BE ABLE TO REV IT HIGH? ANY INFO WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

ALSO WOULD I HAVE TO PUT NEW SLEEVES IN THE LS BLOCK OR WOULD I JUST BE ABLE TO HAVE IT BORED OUT TO 84MM, AND IF I CAN HAVE IT BORED OUT WOULD IT STILL BE STRONG FOR ALLMOTOR? AGAIN SORRY ABOUT THE SAME QUESTIONS YOU GUYS PROBABLY GET ATLEAST ONCE A YEAR BUT I JUST WANT TO HAVE A RELIABLE PERFORMANCE MOTOR.

Please, stop with the all caps. Its not needed.
Here. This thread, which is a sticky, and something you could have easily found by searching will give you alot of help building the motor.

Last, you will have to sleeve the LS block to fit 84mm pistons in it. You will Most likely NOT be able to rev that motor 10k rpms. There is also no real point to going that high.
From you post, it sounds like you really are not ready for this swap. You say you have an LS/VTEC in your car now, why not just add more too it. Also, if you have that motor, it should have been dyno'd and tuned. How much power did you make on it. You answer to that will give you a round about answer to what power the b20/vtec will make. You will get a bit more power, being that it will make more torque.

sorry about the caps lol. I am very experienced with honda's and cars in general, I have been a general auto tech for about 10 years now, it's just that my buddy used to build my motors for me and he moved and is not around to help anymore so I am doing this on my own and just needed some info. The ls vtec set up I have now was dyno'd and it made decent power but the bottom end is stock. I was gonna get a b20 and completly build it but I feel guilty spending all that money on a b20 just to tear it apart and rebuid it, when i could be spending that money on building the ls block I allready have. I got a great deal on the internals for the b20 so I bought them with out having the block, so that is why i was askin about the 84mm pistons. I will sell them and probably get pistons that will work in the ls with out having to resleeve it. I guess I was just asking what you guys thought of the ls vtec in comparison to the b20, like do you guys think there would be a huge difference in power between the 2 or maybe just the torque? sorry about the huge paragraphs but I just need some info.

Well, you can sleeve the LS block to 84mm. It will help for power and torque. It will also make the block stronger.
I would looking into adding a girdle to help with the bottom end some more. Its not really needed, but will help out.
an all out B20/vtec can make 240+ to the wheels. Same for LS/vtecs, but you will need to have bigger pistons.
