Was just wondering the proper procedure to time my b18c1 with a timing light?? So i bought a long block and it didnt come with a dizzy, so i bought a new one and just stabed it in at the center of the adjustment and it fires up and runs but will die if i dont give it gas. Besides time what other this could make this happen as well??

There's a two pin diagnostic plug connector up and behind your glove box near the passenger door. Jumper the pins together with a paper clip or something similar (I prefer a fork spade connector). Loosen the bolts on the distributor. Connect the timing light to the battery and to the spark plug wire closest to the timing belt side. Shine the light down on the crank pulley and with your eye line up the pointer on the timing belt cover to the red mark flashing on the crank pulley. Rotate the distributor carefully until the pointer is dead on the red mark. Tighten the distributor, recheck. Remove the jumper. Reset the ECU by pulling the 7.5A backup fuse in the under hood fuse box for 15 seconds.
