I borescoped the #2 cylinder and determined that the piston has not contact the valve. Fortunately. And there's no noises coming from the crankcase, so the bearings are good.
This is my DD, otherwise I would be more inclined to tear the block down and inspect everything. I also can't afford to replace all the seals I would need after tearing the block down. But it wouldn't make any sense to do so considering the engine itself only has 59,5XX miles on it.
My CEL came back on today after a nearly 3 months off. Same code...P1399... I was going to save up a little more money and upgrade all the valves, springs, and retainers to BC units, but now I need to repair this ASAP. Problem is that I don't have the money for th ARP head studs or the machine shop work right now. So next pay period I'm getting the head studs, and probably the following pay period I will have the money for the work.
