Unfortunately, I've been experiencing some financial difficulties lately, and the work has been put on hold for another month or so. At least until I can get my head above water again.

#248094 Oh no, work isn't the problem right now. We're so busy we can hardly keep up, but none of the owners of the aircraft we get in want to authorize overtime so we're stuck working 40hrs a week.

The problem is a little more personal, and I'm not going to divulge that information here. Good news is I'm working on fixing the problem, and things are coming around for the better.

And I'm not fully rebuilding the head, just replacing the valves and guides in cylinder #2. Although, I'm thinking I ought to just replace all the valves and guides since it'll already be apart and I'm getting a 3-angle done on it... Just means more money and more of a wait until the work actually gets done.

#249283 sorry to hear about your ls bro that, and now your itr head. i hope the rest of the engine is sound. id probably tear it down if you get the chance and check the crank bearings out. and def check piston # 2 if the valve made any contact with that piston it could be damaged as well. other wise sweet car bro.

I borescoped the #2 cylinder and determined that the piston has not contact the valve. Fortunately. And there's no noises coming from the crankcase, so the bearings are good.

This is my DD, otherwise I would be more inclined to tear the block down and inspect everything. I also can't afford to replace all the seals I would need after tearing the block down. But it wouldn't make any sense to do so considering the engine itself only has 59,5XX miles on it.

My CEL came back on today after a nearly 3 months off. Same code...P1399... I was going to save up a little more money and upgrade all the valves, springs, and retainers to BC units, but now I need to repair this ASAP. Problem is that I don't have the money for th ARP head studs or the machine shop work right now. So next pay period I'm getting the head studs, and probably the following pay period I will have the money for the work.

#249371 I chose not to buy back the car due to the difference in the pay out being $1700. I got $4200 from the insurance company, and if I had taken my car back, I would have gotten $2500. Enough to buy my buddy's '95 Del Sol VTEC, but that's not the car that I wanted. I had to have an Integra. It's the only car I'm truely happy driving. Next upgrade from the ITR is an S2K. :D
