Cut off wheel would have made sparks and start a fire with the inside of the car...

Not if there's nothing to ignite. I've cut quarter panels off of cars with a 30,000rpm cutoff wheel. Just yank out the interior and there's nothing to ignite.

I would love to paint it ebp but I fell in love with the original black when I waxed it... it looks like a mirror...

And yes I know with black cars u see more dirt on it when its dirty but that just gives me a reason to wash it and wax it every week... :thumb:

I know exactly what you mean. I Loved my EBP Hatch, I will love my EBP sedan. I love EBP. However I also love Shiney Mirror Finish Black. I remember waxing my delsol one time and Thought I were through the paint one time because i made a blue spot and paniced for a second until I released it was the sky.

I Love shiny black. especially when I see rolling shots in the sun and I can see everything's reflection. You have to wash it all the time. In Washington I pretty much had to wash it every day but normally put it off for every 2-3 days. Totally worth it for my Weekend and Summer Toy. However I would hate to have my Daily Driver in Black, Mainly as it gets washed like every 3-4 Months. I'm sure that cycle would be much more frequent if it was black though.

I'm really happy to see the rear of your car looking good. Hows the front coming along? Also curios as to why the rear needed touching up. Was it hurt in the wreck as well?

#237839 I have sympathy for the guys at the body shop. Ever drilled off a quarter panel? It's not easy, not fun, not clean, and not fast.

Glad to see progress being made. I forget, did the insurance company call it a total loss, or no? I remember the guy who hit you didn't have insurance when he hit you, then got it the next day. Either way, that front end is jackd up... It's a good thing she is owned by someone with as much love for the car and patience with the repairs as you have.

Yea they reported it as a total lost but sense he didn't have any insurence they couldn't do anything about it...

So it was either buy a another car or fix this one...
