Header should be here any day. then to paint it with vht flame proof silicon and ceramic based paint in flat black. good up to 2000 degrees . then ordering my cat and gasket next friday. stay tuned.

New front calipers and caliper brackets on the way to be installed this week. I was checking out my passenger front brake and the caliper slide pin was bent so i decided to order new front brakes. while checking it out my new craftsman jack started to sink before i could get the stands under the car so i'm returning it and i bought one of these.


Bought it from harbor freight it goes from 3 1/14 to 18 1/2 compared to my craftsman that stopped at 14". only 189$ on sale right now pretty sweet if you ask me.

- Thu Jun 09, 2011 1:18 am #258689 Took the valve cover off today and washed and degreased it pretty good, sanded out any rough spots and painted it with cast coat iron color engine enamel then used engine clear coat.

its really looking good and those tail lights are definately alot better then the red ones

- Tue Jun 21, 2011 3:06 pm #260221 Thanks guys, ran across a newer element in a junk yard and picked up some misc hardware from it to replace some of my corroded rusted nuts and bolts.



Got a few more things in store for this year. check back soon.


I forgot to mention that i got a new valve cover that ccr85 was nice enough to pull for me from that element. he grabbed the vc with the coil pack cover and all of the hardware and gasket. Going to be stripping it down and painting it a wrinkle red. and going to be doing the coil pack cover in silver. Check back soon for a new look.

- Fri Jul 15, 2011 7:01 am #263651 Bought and installed coresport aluminum shifter bushings and what a difference! also bought technafit teflon stainless steel brake and clutch lines. they have a red pvc cover with rubber boots for a great look too, will be installing these this weekend and painting my calipers black finally, so stay tuned.

Also got my new oil pan installed, went pretty smoothly except me busting a a/c line. oh well live and learn i guess

Thanks mate i have always loved hatches. your blue hatch was kind of my inspiration/motivation to buy and build this car, combine that with my vbp fit that someone totaled on me, and my friends nhbp ep that was totaled on him and thats where this car fits in. more money will go into this car thats for sure. Were getting a house soon with a very roomy garage so look for pictures of my new work shop in the junk yard in a few weeks.

Got my front calipers and brackets painted with black caliper paint. and installed my stainless steel brake lines. forgot to take pictures. However i will be replacing my rear calipers sometime before next spring as one of them has a torn piston boot. so i'll paint those as well to match. Also going to be ordering a k-tuned coil pack cover, a new brake booster. and some other goodies this week so more updates to come thats for sure. but i'll leave you with this pic i took today after i left work at 11.




And one more for every one to ponder but exterior wise these are my plans in the next two years.



the black body parts = carbon fiber. but any one want to guess what oem honda color that represents? ill let you all guess.

- Tue Aug 09, 2011 1:54 pm #266852 update, bought a few things recently. new hawk ceramic brake pads. A new brake booster, and the lift handle you guys have in your glass hatch, going to use that for my wiper delete. Also looks like my bad booster killed my master so i will be ordering one this week.
