#86872 Started today on the suspension, trial fitting etc. We intend to completely build this car with every component, then dismantle it and bring it to the painters and then re-assemble it again.. saves us the trouble of finding out things may not fit or need modification after it's been painted... this is a little more work, but it'll be worth it in the end..

Mounted the function7 rear lower control arms with the ASR brace in black. The main trailing arm was coated and mounted a prothane urethane main bushing. I prefer the prothanes over the energy suspensions due to the fact they have a steel casing which you press in like the oem ones

Then mounted the Ingalls camber correction arms in the back and the Suspension techniques anti swaybar onto the ASR brace. One thing I noted last time I installed this combination is that the ASR brace moves the ST mounting brackets back about 1 inch. In the way the ST is mounted, this gives a slightly less beneficial position for the space between the swaybar and the shocks. it leaves about 3/4 inch of space, this is in the position when the car is raised off the ground and when on it's wheels, the space is more, so no real worries here, but just something to notice.

In the front, mounted SRR camber correction arms and powdercoated the front uprights. Installed new bearings and ball joints and installed ARP extended studs. Also used cv joints to keep the bearing races together when car is rolled around...keeps it all in one piece.

Need to coat the front subframe, front lower arms and rear toe-ins and put urethane in and then the suspension is as good as checked ok fitmentwise.
