went about today mocking up the filler neck assembly. We have molded lexan windows for this car and it seemed cool to mount the filler neck in the rear window. Since this car will also be street legal in The Netherlands, rules dictate that the filler neck should be accessible from the outside....Ran out of fuel hose couplers so took some silicone hose and stainless steel tubing to mock the whole thing up...gives a rough idea of what it will look like, still needs some brackets though and some Hontec tender love & care....

unfortunately it is, otherwise it will not pass the yearly MOT.

and yes it's a strange country.....we can smoke weed but you can't fill fuel from the inside..

copy-paste;

Welded the brackets for the dry sump today, decided the best place for it was behind the passenger seat inside the cage above the old rear seat. This way it adds a little more weight to the rear and right to give the car more balance and this thing is huge, 4 gallons and no way this thing will fit into a honda engine bay if you'd still like your engine to fit as well.....for me this thing is a reason to build a mid engine honda and mount this sump dead center under the original hood and mold a lexan hood.......damn this thing is sexy!!!!

Just to be ahead on some of the comments that will be coming; Yes the reservoir tilts back, this is due to the fact that it aligns with the main hoop of the cage and when she is on her wheels she will be upright! Do not forget that the rear window slopes up on the lower side and this adds to the false sensation.....besides it wouldn't look right if you misalign the brackets with the hoop and since mounting 4 gallons of oil to sidewall sheetmetal is not an option in my humble opinion.....this is the best position for this piece of art.....my new baby..:silly:

Stainless steel tubing arrived to mock up the filler neck. Still waiting on the lexan windows to make some final adjustments.
