Mike had a brilliant idea.. so why not
This is what started it all, when i was 17 i picked up my second car something i really wanted. A 98 cavalier Z24
This thing was pretty fast, for a teenager ya no
but i played with it alittle, tinted tails, black corners, full pioneer stereo, shortshifter, CAI, the magnaflow can thats now on my civic, lowered on tokico's with eibachs, custom fab strut and ty bars, the thing was on rails
But all good things must come to an end...
Ditch 1/Cavi 0.. bent the frame and cinked the roof, was super bummed out, picked up a base as fuck, zero option 2.2 cavi just to get me around. Then i gave my head a shake
bored over, 5 angle valve job, GTZ 2.3 cams, 2.2 coil swap, Custom Fabed CAI AC delete, machined flywheel, pace setter 421 header, 2.5" piping, magnaflow cat, flowmaster 40 series, cobalt SS tip, plus someother goodies salvaged from the Z24
Let the swap begin
The donor
RIP
The old 2.2, it had a good run, lasted mmm a month. Revin strikes again.. poor thing sounded like a diesel till it fired the oil cap into the bottom of the hood and siezed solid
So we finished this up round 10pm, opened the garage door and it was snowing, no windshield wipers, and the bald front allseasons from when the 2.2 was still in.. best test drive of life
I no its not much, but doing this swap showed me what i wanted to do with my life, im currently enrolled in NBCCs automotive service technician. Zack one of the most influencell people in my life helped with this project and it was decided a shop was a excellent idea, so EZ motorsports was formed
6 motorswaps have been done, and countless other projects..
currently on the list, boosted94's turbo f22, colbitts turbo z6, a circle track eg, and civic ek
As for the cavi, times were alittle tuff and i was starting school soon.. so i sold it to my cuz, he drove it right into the ground and i perfer not to talk about it
Shortly after this pic (winter mode) it would have been goin it for paint.
Thanks for lookin guys
