Hi all. I would like to introduce you to my baby. She's 16 years old this June, but you wouldn't say so by looking at her. I suppose that's one of the best bits about the EG. It's shape is timeless! I have had her since February 2006, but my family has had her since new. Introducing: Julia Trackslut...
Stock, the day I got her:
She started out in life as a 1992 Honda Ballade (not Civic) 160i Luxline (no DX/CX/EX/SiR - our models came with D15 carb motor (150), D16A7 SOHC (160i), D16A9 DOHC (160E), B18B DOHC (in 180i or 180E spec level), no VTEC at all ) - all nomenclatures given to the EG Civic Sedan by Mercedes-Benz SA, who built our Hondas locally until 2000. However, because I am so obsessed with JDM, my mission for Julia is to convert her to JDM spec and keep all her styling to the JDM theme... The fastest she will go (limited by the gearbox) is 220km/h or about 138mph, not bad for a 1600! LOL
How she looked in January, just before a frontal accident:
Her engine bay as it is now:
This is what I have done to the exterior and engine so far...
Black bonnet
EK9 strut brace
CF JDM Powerchamber induction (aka Whale Penis)
Clear side repeaters (were orange)
badgeless hood
black mirrors
DIY chrome elbow beadings
CR-X SiR 14" rims, 185/60 Bridgestone Potenza GIII tyres
"Candy" tail lights
mish-mash exhaust system, waiting for B20 before getting a custom system built
D2 short shifter
40mm suspension drop (yes i know my car looks high but she IS lowered. Check my first pic compared to the second batch... SA Ferios were made high on purpose for the condition of our roads. Low cars in SA are hard not to scrape on just about everything)
Interior mods:
JDM EG Ferio SiR steering wheel (the optional one, which incidentally was standard on all Ferios here LOL)
JDM centre console (my car came with the EG hatch console, the thin one)
JDM central armrest
JDM EG hatch front seats (the one with the single-arm head rest.)
Custom vinyl roofliner
Future mods:
carbon fibre hood (badgeless)
carbon fibre spoon mirrors
15" JDM-style rims, Bridgestone Adrenaline rubber
SiR front lip
orange front indicators
orange side indicators
black elbow beadings (back to stock)
side beadings removed, but not flushed (so the groove stays)
colour-coded door handles
Tein coil-overs
full 57mm "Viper" branches and free-flow
B20 VTEC swap
Spoon braking system with ABS
tinted windows
JDM SiR seats all round
(this is a big-one) full carbon fibre roof replacement including full-length retractable sunroof
SiR bootspolier
complete respray, colour is top secret
And this is how she looks now, after the accident. Had to replace the hood, cradle, one headlight, the front bumper and fix the RHS fender... So I smartly used insurance money to change her face, LOL!
These are the only pics I have of her now, haven't shot anymore...
What you guys think?
