#352564 it was now the end of November 2014 and I decided to take a break until the new year.... my intention was to buy a car cover but decided to wait until the car was finished to get that and for now I would just get a really big tarpaulin

the car was left like this until January 2015 ... my next post will be about my intentions for 2015, as in parts list and plans

stay tuned ...

#352574 so its now January 2015 and i am ready to move the car to the mechanic..

but first i decided to do something with the car.... y? because i was still not satisfied that i was clearly seeing all the faults and never wanted to discover anything when i put on the actual paint

it cant be bad either for the paint job .. should look even shinier when done

i am actually happy i did it, because wales are now showing in my front doors and bonnet, things i couldn't see before i did this.. things that MUST be resolved before the final paint job

more lol

clear!!! it still needs to be buffed

#352719 quick question...

the gearbox i bought is the S9B

S9B
Found in: EDM UKDM MB6/MC2 (LSD) Helical LSD (same as S80)
Type: Hydraulic
1st: 3.230
2nd: 1.900
3rd: 1.360
4th: 1.034
5th: 0.848
R: 3.000
FD: 4.267

the gears are sort of long but i am more looking to go boost in the future and thought this may actually be an advantage to having such long gears. however, i don't intend to go over 270-300 whp, so maybe shorter gears wouldn't be so bad for me...

anyway, i am faced with a decision to make. i have the choice to install a 4.785 final drive from a ITR gearbox, plus i already have the B16B civic type R flywheel

what should i do, what would be the best thing to do as it relates to my future plans, change the final drive? :?

any opinions would be greatly appreciated

sorry for the late updates. i bought and delivered (to the garage) paint to complete the above from end of march, to date nothing has been done. seems i have to be there for any work to go on, which i dont have a problem with because then everything is done to my standard, its just a longer wait for progress

so i am trying to plan a 2 week vacation leave in June of which i will spend everyday at the garage (i am sure the wife will have a problem with this lol). the intention is to drive my car to work on my return (fingers crossed)

2 small changes in the plan above;

decided to spray my valve cover with the red spray first. will see how that looks first before i go the more expensive route (powder coating)

to save some money i decided to go with the stock manifolds and then see what the future holds. so they will be sprayed with the black spray
