- Mon Dec 09, 2013 12:32 am #339780 Thanks but the 2 bolts on the vc towards the firewall dont fit, do i have to pull the vc off and mount the studs then put the vc on? I figured they would fit thro the vc hole from the top. Image

If those studs won't fit you'll need to take the cover off to torque them down then put the cover on and send those bolts in! If you do decide to take the cover off and do it you could do your valve cover gasket and plug seals too the complete kits are around $25-$30

The pics look good though dude, as long as the cover has a good seal and those 2 bolts in the back are torqued to spec (I think it's like 7 lbs) you should be good

And my gf just started putting presents under the tree, I now feel your pain haha!

at Advance Auto i get the cam cover gasket kit for a 98 civic ex. its the exact same kit only a different part number and its $15 instead of $30
