Just waiting on results of MOT, then, if all goes well, its boost time.

Started the turbo build today, but only managed to bolt up ic, fit oil plate with sensors and fit DSM injectors.

#322504 Update.

Bolting things on and had to slightly cut the fan cover a bit to clear actuator, sorted the wiring and injectors out aswell as slightly modding i/c piping to avoid cutting passenger side front tow eye/bracket.

Just hit a problem with the oil sump, almost all the 10mm nuts/bolts are coroded bad, so that couldnt be done today, start on that tomorrow.

And been cutting the inside of front bumper so it sits abit better, hopefully more progress tomorrow and completion.

Ive got a spare z6 in the shed to rebuild, might forge it and keep car D-series.

Update.

Oilpan is off and tapped one fitted. Was a pain in the ass, as the bolts/nuts were perished. Angle grinded a bolt head off and split a nut in two just to remove it, also one thread snapped. So new pan will have two fasternings missing.

Just the exhaust left to do tomorrow as i got soaked with it raining, so with the rain i didnt get to take any pics, take the bumper off again to cut it more, or do the full exhaust.
Plus gunna grind a wedge out of the block where compressor is, as ive been advised to do so to accomodate for any vibrations, so the turbos need taken off.

Really hope this starts up and runs, or it'll have to be put back to NA before monday.

Ecu is mapped to 7psi
Actuator has a 7psi spring
Boost controller set at 5psi

Just driving it in vaccum, but the temptation is there.

Exhaust is 3-4inches too short so that needs an extention to fit properly, also a irratic idle problem has occured.

Soz bout the shaking, but nerves and cold got the best of me.

#322654 Cars off the road due to a major oil leak, and im thinking its the pan. Lost 3litres of oil overnight while it was standing, and another 2litres put in this morning after checking oil level, when i left to go down street today leaving a trial all the way back home.

So im leaving the car alone til the weathers better or send it to a garage to sort the leak.

#324307 New oilpan seal fitted, took care to tighten it correctly and fitted it dry and without sealant this time lol.

There is still a very small oil leak, which is coming from the oil return braided pipe where the oilpan tap is, so ill just replace it with a new pipe and clips.

Also ive tried and checked EVERY possible thing on the idle problem (after warm up, and wont rev past 4000-4500rpm). I know vtec kicks in then, and didnt have a problem with it before, so its down to the current map. Im getting a fresh 10psi d16z6 map from a well respected tuner as soon as ive got the cash to sort it.

My oil temp and pressure gauges or sensors seem faulty, thats what i get for buying cheap from ebay lol.

And currently appling for a new, higher paid job. With company car and bonuses.

So ive got a busy 2013 haha.

finally got pissed off with the irratic idle and 4k rev limit, purchased a new d16z6 basemap chip from H-Tune.

revs have been raised to 6k now and a steadier idle, still needs tuning.

soon as i get it done ill be going to a RR and get a printout on what bhp im running, also gunna start another thread with my other z6 lump and push/build a 450ish D.
