#323753 on a lighter side, i got the car back from my buddys auto body shop, he did exactly what i asked no more... lazy bastard, but i got the quarter panels fixed perfect no more dents, but the doors need some major sanding and such,,

my wife wasnt happy with the paint job so we decided to re do it,

my driver frame rail is bent by a 1/2" and thats why the fenders are hard to line up, im either gonna pull the core support, and replace a rail section...

thank god hondas are legos.....

or do a ek si front end conversion on the eg, i have no idea what im gonna do....

any ideas? ive seen some integra jdm type r front end conversions done on eg's but none that im a complete fan of...

however i do like the look of an ek, guess i shoulda bought an ek instead...

i could do a eg rhd conversion, as the car is hardly driven anyway, always have to carry my pistol around when driving my car so i doesnt get jacked or looked at twice by stinking thieves all around this lame town.....

#323754 my kids godfather is washington state patrol, he said to do a legal rhd conversion you have to switch the vin tag and get it documented in your insurance policy and dmv records, file it as a hobby car, xtra cost and milage counts agianst you, - no problem for me.....

and cut the fire wall below your vin numbers or weld the vin plate in the new firewall.......

this sucks

#323759 Im a big fan of the EK front too, but I dont think I'd go through the hassle to convert the eg front over. Ive seen a few del sol and usdm integra front bumper swaps that looked good though. But havent looked at any JDM front swaps.

#323985 well, I have a lot of time and im in no rush to get it done right away, the frame is moose-knuckled and I never saw it till I took the power steering rack out and subframe parts, but its messed up a bit, and near the core support,

I can do the ek front damn near perfect, my friend purchased a ek hatch and didn't realize the ducktape covering the frame rail shock support was damaged, some Hispanic kids thought It was a good idea to weld a 1/2" thick plate across the huge crack in it, no wonder it pulled to the left constantly, we pulled the core support out, drilled out the spot welds and took the first section of frame rail out then the shock tower part, was all the way to the firewall..

you can purchase these parts separately the frame rails comes in 3 sections you can actually purchase from Honda if you look hard enough 80-200 a piece, you can mate the integra front pieces to eg, and ek to eg lining up... I would take the 2 front parts and weld them onto my shock tower parts and go from there ill post up a pic with arrows explaining how I want to do it.

like I said Hondas are legos, they come apart piece by piece if you have the patients and correct tools to get the job right the first time...

the fenders will be the hard part as the eg and ek fenders aren't a perfect fit I will have to take the front part of the eg fenders and cut them off and weld the ek counter part on to mesh with the headlights

the lines on the ek fenders do not match eg doors and pillar bars

so meshing the 2 fendrers is a must, the hoods line up nicely, the only weird looking thing is the cowling, I need a new one so ill fiberglass one up using both eg and ek cowlings and wrap It in carbon fiber matting like real seibon hoods are...

that would look sick and custom.

get a new ek core support weld it up nicely, sand and paint, install the k again...

id be golden like pee-pee.

ok, the JDM front end RHD conversion...

its a bitch, same process with the frame rails and core support, change the firewall or cut and weld.... too much work compared to the ek front end conversion....

plus thieves are already and issue since im k swapped, and running k pro with no immobilizer, I carry my pistol religiously and have many many friends who are sheriffs, state patrol and local LEO'S so im ok there always have someone looking out but rhd is just a hassle in my opinion....

plus drive thurs man, what go backwards? no freakin way..

so on the RHD conversion... that's a no go

#325332 like ive said in previous posts, im a lil bitch when it comes to the cold, I work in an office now, so the cold isn't an option any more for me, on a good note, I did source a 5 lug conversion for 750 us

we will see how it goes, I may keep it 4 lug but the 5 is so sexy....

have a k may as well do the 5 lug.

IM tired of turbo, all the bull, rather have a solid working charger. :thumb:

#325500 OK I'm at it again after checking out my civic from a little distance I realized my core support is off by a hair....

I'm either looking for a nice shell to swap everything in or price out all the existing parts I need to complete my project

Whatever is cheaper is the way I may go :thumb:

I have been always contemplating getting a shell to swap my parts over, only because I have a whole rear quarter panel to swap out and my car is not a clean title. How much shells go for out there?
