I read the Haynes manual and all it tells me is to take it to a shop and best price I found was $100

My Dad helped me change my lower ball joints. We just took the whole spindles out and pounded the old ball joints out cause you wont need them anyway. We then used a socket the same diameter as the ball joint and lightly pounded them back in. Oh but before that I lubed the hole and ball joints before putting them in.
One thing to also remember is the c-clip that's holding the ball joint in place.
