#207519 so i got friskey and decided to pull out most of my dash cause it was rattling and i wanted to replace the cup holder, i replaced my burnt climate bulbs with white LEDs and glued/screwed the bezel back into place cause all the mounts were broken.

#207989 Hey buddy, first of all - great purple coupe :thumb: its very similar to where I want to take mine. I wanted to ask, your recent issue with starting, on the occasions that it wouldnt start did the engine turn over properly, or spark?? My coupe has been undrivable for weeks as Im tryin to get a new dizzy, but if it could also be the starter I might be barking up the wrong tree?? Mine turns over fully and fast just doesent spark to life??

just wandered... :D

hello andy, my car in this particular case when it wasent starting, it was the ignition "pos 3" start was not engaging because of the extensive heat and cause everything to happen except for telling the starter to turn over.

in your case where it cranks and doesnt fire, does it happen when it's hot and does it do it all the time or some of the time? I almost bet it's your main relay, because it doesnt send power to the fuel pump sometimes which makes it crank and not fire....hope it helps man! :thumb:

It's doing pretty good man, i have been driving the SHIT out of it! like 50-70 miles a day  how's your sedan?

thanks man, i got them free at the local Boring junkyard :thumb: one out of a 92-95 sable and the other a Taurus. had plently on the lot.

UPDATE!

so this is how my car was sitting last wednesday/thursday night:

Image

i replaced BOTH rear brake calipers because the one i got about a year back was defective and the other one was OLLLD. however, i got one for free from autozone through some warranty loophole and the guys totally helped me out!

Right:
Image

damn, they feel so good now, plus my ebrake works great which is why i did this to begin with....to go to the track on friday night.

so on my way home i notice this after i shut it off and about 10 min went by:

Image

on my fucking way to the track!! I park for about 2 minutes and this much oil leaks out...and i just changed my oil...FML

Image

so needless to say i didn't go to the track because saturday night i boozed

Familiar Sight:
Image

after doing some looking around, even buying a rear main seal cause i thought it was that but ended up being the oil pan gasket :(

as you can tell, it's cracked right down the middle...anybody else have this happen?
Image

Image

so i got it fixed and it don't leak at all, put some loctite on the bolts/studs as well.. got a few other leaks that i hopefully sealed up the other night.

one other thing, my tranny side motor mount bolts decided to leave the building so i got some NAPA specials lol: (the bright red ones)

.
.
.

I'm working on getting some different lowering springs right now, i got 2 front H&R sports, i need some rears. suspension, resonator then a wastegate (maybe) are in the future...

Loving the new house. I hate moving but you gotta do what you gotta do. My Sedans waterpump is pretty dead, Been dying a while however its leaking tons of water now. Going to be breaking in the Garage doing a swap for it soon. Until then its Daily Driving Del20 time.

Sucks about your Oil Leaks. Its crazy the gasket would break like that. I'm glad you got it fixed.

oh man, did/does the waterpump make any noise? i had one lose a bearing on my old 460, she was squealing bad!

good to see your going to break-in the new garage with a swap, what are you swapping, the z6 out?

i can't believe my luck sometimes with the leaks  but it will get better, i plan on picking up some rear H&R sport springs tonight, then get a resonator to quiet things down and we will be in business :thumb:

how's life going?

Theres a d15b7 in there currently. Its water pump has been squealing the whole time I had it. However it drove and didn't really bug me. Just add some water every two weeks or so, then every week, then every few days then it got to the point where its pretty much undrivable.

I wanna build my Z6 outta the Delsol and put it in the Sedan. At the very least I want to put new Rings into it as it smoked when I pulled it out of the sol. New Waterpump, Oil Pump and Timing Belt so I wont have these issues in the Future. Then maybe lay some paint in the bay and put in a much freshier engine to shuttle back and forth to work.

Im glad to see your getting new springs, Make your coupe more daily driving friendly. Thats will life easier.Daily Driving the Stiff Suspensioned Delsol Daily makes me look forward going back to my Sedan for Daily Driving Dutys.

Quite exhaust is also always a good thing. Loud exhaust is fun for short periods of time. But it gets old. If you have a little deep burble/grunt thats perfect IMO. Sounds like your on the correct path for it.

Life isn't to bad. Cant complain to much. I Found out that Body work is much easier then I figured it would be. Come Payday I will be getting some Electron Blue Pearl and painting the Hatch. I'm pretty pumped for that. If it turns out good the Blue Sedan is also Going Electron Blue Pearl but with a Gold Bay.

I remember you wanted to Paint your Coupe Electron Blue Pearl back in the day. If thats something your still wanting to do I can paint your coupe for you as long as you get the materials and paint. If thats something you want to do it will take a while for the paint and clear to dry. but if you come up in the morning hopefully by evening the clear will be dry enough to drive home with.

oh man, lame about the water pump.. was it just leaking around the housing and spewing water everywhere underneath?

i think building the z6 is a good choice, i don't regret it and i'm HARD on it, boost it every day, she runs strong! stock head too...
new rings will give it a boost no matter what plus no smoke.

i agree with you on the springs, however my tires are still really low-pro and are not forgiving. i'm looking at getting a set of 16's..i Really like the ones you have on your sedan (the white ones). i was thinking of fixing up a set off of craigs

i'm working on that resonator soon. dude that sounds like a fantastic idea, the only problem is that i have probably 10-20 hours of body work i need to do before paint. i could probably do that and then drive up, it would be a weekend correct? how much are we looking at for supplies and paint? when did you plan on painting yours?
