#319132 Well its starting to get cold here and time to block off the big ol hole in the front of the car where the AC condenser would be. last year i half assed a piece of sheet metal in there with some zipties and duck tape

the idea here is to keep all the cold air from rushing into the engine bay and taking away what little bit of heat the engine makes. its my understanding that some EGs and EKs that werent equipped with AC had some kinda block off plate from the factory but ive never seen one :?

i know this is going to force all the air into the radiator and possibly cool the engine even more but it seemed to help last year and it was just some little spur of the moment in 20 degree tempatures idea. this year is better. sorry for the bad pics i still dont have a good camera

drilled a hole for a little bracket

trimmed the corner off drilled a hole and put a bolt through it

and after

all bolted in with the PA speaker properly mounted

havent driven yet today but im hoping it helps keep me warmer my heat aint hot just warm :x i know i could put some corrugated board or cardboard over part of the radiator but im trying to lean away from that as much as possible because the radiator is small enough without blocking any of it off

It deff seems to help the engine get up to temp quicker while driving. but then i guess when the thermostat opens up it really dont make a difference. :?

but maybe it will help cooling in the summer

yes, it forces air through the radiator instead of around it.
