Post YOUR Coupe here
By ejohnsizzle
#52341 Hey there, this is my first post in these forums so i guess hi. First i should say- your ej1 coupe is an exemplar to us all.
Now, I know it's been ages since you did your led guages, but i was just wondering how hard it is to complete that conversion. AND my biggest question- does the dash dimmer still work once you have the leds installed? I have a bit of a black/ blue theme going in my EJ1 and i want to put in blue leds, but i know blue can be one of the brightest and most distracting colors at night. I want to make sure i can turn the things down to a reasonable level if they turn out to be too bright. Any help is appreciated... thanks!!

#52343 check page 5 for the bulb info, but it did work with the stock dimmer.

I would probably suggest installing a potentiometer in between to get it further dimmer.

#58790 still waiting on my clutch disc from ACT.. :sigh: Ordered it two weeks ago and apparently it had to be special ordered. SHOULD be here on thursday at the latest then friday its getting installed. :]

the tranny is back at my house and i can't get the worn out c clip oem shorter axle into the transmission.. but the newer one that I got from Napa seems to be able to slide right in.. I might need new axles.

#58800 Can't you just change the C-clips then?

If you're going for new axles, go with Driveshaftshop ones (Hasport axles are made by DSS btw).

Did you work on the OBX already?
I suppose you know it's recomended to replace the cheap and f/u parts they use (bolts and washers) and smoothen all of the sharp edges inside the housing :)

#59720 I got the tranny in with my old act clutch (20-30k miles on it) since my 6puck was no where to be found and the company was giving me the runaround. I decided to just get a refund and slap the tranny back in.

I am seriously deciding whether or not to keep the car. I might get a BMW. haha
