Yeah I think most of us are in the same boat!
You thought about a mini-me swap? Get another 30BHP, and some VTEC, and it wouldn't cost that much. probably about 50-150 quid depending where you get the parts. There's a DIY on here somewhere.
Also you could do the little things that make it all worth while and so satisfying, like painting bits or re-furbing something yourself, costs the price of paint and a bit of time, but can be so satisfying [I just ambered my corner indicators, cost me £1.99 lol]

i heard z6/y8 head on b2/7 is weird, would better go for the whole engine. at least you got obd1 looms so you wouldnt get much trouble converting to vtec engine d15b or d16z6 not like mine obd0 looms

yeah ecu and engine looms are important, for the box i think you still can use your current one just different ratio gear

Its in my car at the moment (where the passenger seat was 
) rather it was ikn the engine bay but that will be nbext weekend 
The guy basically bouhgt it off his mate for cheap (300 quid) as it was too pricey on insurance so he swapped in a 1.3 and got rid of the z6. its done 64k and has more than ill need there for the swap.
I'm gonna spend this week cleaning it, painting it and maybe do a tuck on the harness too. then next weekend Ill get to see what its all about
